The Master's Thesis is prepared individually and independently by the graduate student and constitutes an in-depth study and treatment of a possibly non-original topic that is on the frontier of the research of a specific scientific field of the science of Mathematics. This study is conducted under the supervision of the supervising professor and is based on existing literature/research. The postgraduate student utilizes the knowledge and skills acquired during the studies in order to process the subject in a synthetic and rigorous way. The goal of the Master's Thesis is for the graduate student, under the supervision of the supervising professor, to develop critical, synthetic thinking and in-depth analysis skills of the subject in a scientific manner and with due mathematical rigor. After successful completion of the Master's Thesis, the student should be able to:

The evaluation of the Master's Thesis is done by a three-member Examination Committee which is appointed by the Department's Assembly. The evaluation includes the examination of the submitted essay of the Master's Thesis and the evaluation through the public presentation by the student of the following points:
