Learning outcomes

The "Diploma Thesis" is a project which is carried out solely by undergraduate students. It has a synthetic or scientific nature that encapsulates the student's experience and knowledge of a specific research area of Mathematical science. The "Diploma Thesis" is conducted by close collaboration between the student and a Supervising Member of the Academic-Staff of Department. The goal for the undergraduate student is to gain critical thinking skills, composing thinking, and the ability to analyze a subject in a scientific and strictly mathematical way. After successfully participating in the course, the student will be able to: Identify and handle basic notions, methods, and techniques related to the subject under investigation. Understand the importance of the subject of the thesis and the connections to related subject fields. Make use of bibliographic sources to reach scientific conclusions. Write scientific manuscripts. Present scientific results to the public.
